Prevention of Torticollis and Plagiocephaly for Newborns to instruct parents how to prevent it, most critical age between newborn and 4 months. Parents will attend, with their infant, while receiving hands on techniques in stretching, repositioning, and active exercises to re-mediate plagiocephaly and torticollis.
Our hope is that by taking more time to explain the exercises, positioning alternatives, and answer questions, compliance will increase and we will prevent the tightening of neck muscles and misshapen skulls from progressing.
It is best for parents to attend with their baby between 2 weeks -4 months of age, but up to 6 months is appropriate also. Taught by Physical Therapist with 35 years experience. 1st Monday of every month 6:30-7:30 pm. Must call to schedule at 480-820-6366.
